“June’s throat got slashed open, and whoever did it left her to bleed out all over the floor; how could that have been anything but murder?” Corey’s words are more curious than harsh, despite their bluntness.
“Yeah,” Norman agrees, softer. “I don’t see how something so violent and careless could be an accident.”
Candace crosses her arms. “That’s right. If it was an accident, why does it look like someone was trying to clean up? Why didn’t they get help?”
"What?" I’m flabbergasted. Jazz stares at me with something I can only label disappointment.
((not an update sorry friends. this week’s update is going to be delayed till monday, and expect the rest of the updates for this month to be off track as well because school and life etc etc. everything should be back on track hopefully in june.))
The elevator doors finally slide opened, revealing some strange mocking version of a courtroom. Bill floats, rather ominously, at the head of a circle of seats.
"Red door on the first floor?" I’ve practically memorized Jazz’s map at this point, so it came to me quickly. "That must be that one room you couldn’t figure out, Jazz!"
"Okay," Spencer says. "We figured out a bunch of logistics."
“Ding dong ding dong! A body has been discovered!”
Of course no one’s been killed yet.
